Going track-by-track, in 50 words or less, through all 15 of E.L. James' favorite classical music.

Today...Verdi, La Traviata Prelude.

Just as James adapted Meyer's Twilight for Fifty Shades, so, too, did Verdi adapt Dumas for La Traviata--the most performed opera world-wide. Translated here as "The Woman Who Strayed," it couldn't be more perfect for Ana's plight. Moreover, Riccardo Muti leads the Philharmonia Orchestra in one of the best performances on this record.
