TimesTalks Presents Audra McDonald in Musical Revival of 'Shuffle Along'
Audra McDonald has had a jam-packed year, what with a reprise role as Ms. Billie Holiday in the West End debut of Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill as well as a return to the critically acclaimed Shuffle Along. For the latter, a TimesTalk will be held Friday, Feb. 19 to give audiences a deeper insight into the six-time Tony winner and her role in the 1921 musical.
To be held at the TimesCenter on West 41 street at 7 p.m., New York Times' own Wesley Morris talks with the show's superstar, Ms. McDonald, to give viewers a chance to delve in deeper to the musical. With music by the legendary Sisszle and Blake, the production is based on the original by F.E. Miller and Aubrey Lyles.

Shuffle Along follows a backstage story about the making of one of the first all-black Broadway musical hits that was also written by African-Americans.
