It would seems that things could quickly be coming to a head between Ellen DeGeneres and Caitlyn Jenner. According to the latest gossip news updates, Portia de Rossi's wife has been feuding with the former Keeping Up with the Kardashians reality TV star ever since she made an appearance her talk show last week. During their interview, Jenner made some comments about gay marriage that clearly upset Hollywood's most famous lesbian, and now DeGeneres is said to be considering using all her power in Tinsel Town to bring the I Am Cait star down?
Despite Cailyn Jenner claiming that she has felt like a woman trapped in a man's body for almost as long as she can remember, the transgender reality star recently explained on Ellen that she doesn't really agree with gay marriage (via Entertainment Weekly):
"I'm a traditionalist...I'm older than most people in the audience. I kind of like tradition, and it's always been a man and a woman. I'm thinking, 'I don't quite get it.'
"If that word -- 'marriage' -- is really, really that important to you, I can go with it."
While Ellen admitted she was confused by Caitlyn's stance during their chat, the comedian was able to keep it together on the air.
One behind-the-scenes informant in the latest September 28, issue of Star magazine claims that after they stopped shooting, however, Ellen let Caitlyn know her views were pretty offensive:
"Ellen's blood was boiling, and they exchanged insults.
"Ellen accused Caitlyn of being homophobic, and Caitlyn said some nasty things back. She was behaving like an entitled diva, and eventually Ellen has security escort her out."
According to the spy, if Caitlyn is smart she will call Ellen to apologize before the entertainment mogul gets it in her mind that Jenner needs to be taking down a peg or two:
"Ellen feels betrayed by Caitlyn...She was so excited to have Caitlyn on her show, but she's not the women that Ellen was hoping to interview.
"Ellen has been telling people that she thinks Caitlyn is clueless -- and she's not going to let this go. Ellen is incredibly powerful in Hollywood, and she could damage Caitlyn and her career if she set her mind to it."
