Apparently there is no truth to the rumors that Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat was let go from WWE last week. A certain website picked up a report from another website- a complete fabrication about the firing of Steamboat. Sadly, this reporter was foolish enough to publish it without vetting the story. Apologies to the Dragon and WWE for the gaff.
Steamboat, born Richard Henry Blood, has spent almost forty years in the business, including a legendary stint in WWE where he earned the nickname "Dragon", but he has worked for almost every promotion under the sun before coming back to the big leagues in 2010.
