Bo Dallas Vicious Heel Attack on Jack Swagger Cements Villain Status [OPINION]

Bo Dallas has been getting over as a tweener for the last couple of months, even though he was technically supposed to be a heel. His sappy, sugary "American Inspiration" gimmick was so good that people forgot to boo him. Dallas' charisma and in-ring ability was still earning him cheers. To fix the problem, Bo has turned it up a notch in the ring, and has started to show a mean streak. His vicious attack on recent opponents, as well as new rival Jack Swagger, are helping to cement Dallas' villain status.

When R-Truth snapped Dallas' undefeated streak on RAW four weeks ago, he snapped R-Truth. What has proceeded has been an excellent example of what WWE Creative is capable of when they just "Bo-Lieve".

Without sacrificing his façade as the inspirational American hero, Dallas has infused a Dr. Jeckyll/Mr. Hyde element to his character, behaving in a most unsportsmanlike way in the wake of recent losses.

Meanwhile, he's starting up a feud with Jack Swagger. Since Swagger is over big-time as a babyface right now, this should only generate more heat for Dallas. If only they could put Rusev out of commission...

The only thing that could make that pop even more would be to somehow reintroduce the New Nation gimmick that seemed to be getting off the ground before it was completely abandoned. Big E could potentially tie up Rusev and leave Swagger and Dallas to their own devices. That's all they really need.
