KENTA New Signing Long Awaited NXT Debut: Indie Circuit Action Comes to WWE

Wrestling fans familiar with the Indie circuit are certainly familiar with KENTA, but the rest of the WWE Universe is in for a big surprise when they see him in action. One of three high-profile new signings by WWE, KENTA has made a name for himself in his native Japan, as well as Ring of Honor. When he makes his long-awaited debut at WWE's developmental promotion NXT this fall, be prepared to have your jaw kicked off.

Daniel Bryan, who arguably along with CM Punk have heavily borrowed from KENTA as a result of their time together in ROH and Japan, is really looking forward to KENTA bringing his original and flamboyant style to the world stage that is WWE (via What Culture):

"I'm really excited, really excited. People's eyes are going to be opened with KENTA. He just brings a different style that we've never seen in the WWE before."

Though there's no exact date on KENTA's debut, the dirt sheets expect it to come in early September (via Wrestle Zone):

Previous reports indicated he would be debuting in the "fall," and WWE's next set of NXT tapings takes place on September 12th, the night after Takeover 2.

KENTA, along with Kevin Steen and Prince Devitt, marks a decidedly new era on the horizon for WWE. The influx of new, international talent not only reflects a commitment to the new, high-risk style which has become the norm for professional wrestling, but also represents a youth movement not unlike the one which took place during the Attitude Era.

Just like the porn business, pro wrestling is always searching for newer, hotter, and younger talent. And now, WWE's got it in spades.
