Terry Bradshaw missed work last week because he went home to take care of some very sad family business. His son-in-law Rob Bironas was killed in a single-car accident after losing control of his SUV. The former kicker for the Tennessee Titans is dead at age 36. His family, including Bradshaw's wife Rachel, mourn his tragic loss.
Terry Bradshaw is known for his light-hearted demeanor, but it must be hard to pretend everything is okay when you encounter tragedy such as the loss of a loved one (via Washington Post):
"This has been a tough year for Bradshaw's family. Terry also missed FOX's broadcast of the Super Bowl after the death of his father."
According to TMZ, Bradshaw was fond of Rob Bironas. He apparently approved of his daughter Rachel's choice of husband.
So it would make sense that he was so distraught with the news that Rob lost control of his SUV and ran into some trees (via NBC Sports):
"Terry was very emotional when he left this morning to go back home. Thoughts and prayers obviously go out to the Bironas family and to you, Rachel. We love you and we're thinking about you."
