Wyatt Family Split Rumors: Dirt Sheet Claims Luke Harper And/Or Erick Rowan Will Leave Bray Wyatt

The Wyatt Family has been noticeably absent from live TV this month. A series of vignettes have been airing instead; the promos, full of jump cuts and ghastly imagery, are surely leading up to something. But what? There are rumors of a split in the dirt sheets, but there is no confirmation from WWE. If Luke Harper and Erick Rowan are preparing to leave Bray Wyatt's side, there is no clear time table indicating when that would happen or how it would play out.

People claiming to have inside knowledge of wrestling backstage goings on seem to think that the Wyatt Family is breaking up. Whether they're right or wrong, what is clear is that something big is on the horizon.

WWE has been airing some pretty rad promos over the last few weeks. Starting with Luke Harper, the three individual members of the Wyatt family have been spotlighted. Wyatt has claimed that Harper and Rowan have been "set free."

Justin LaBar and Josh Isenberg of Chair Shot Reality both think that the stable will split up at some point. LaBar says it's just a matter of time (via Wrestle Zone):

"I think the split is inevitably coming, but it doesn't necessarily mean it's coming next week or next month."

Other insider claims insist that Vince McMahon was not happy with the group (via Daily Wrestling News):

"One source pointed to the fact the writing was on the wall for the faction and that Vince was essentially killing them off so why not let him have his way and push Harper. This same source expressed concern because Harper is nowhere close to Wyatt on the mic."

Whether the rumors of a split are true or not, the promos themselves don't shed much light on the intended storyline. While some wrestling writers have interpreted the video segments to indicate a break up, that is certainly premature.

Wyatt has claimed to set Harper and Rowan free- perhaps their agenda is to divide and conquer WWE. Maybe the message is "cry havoc and let slip the dogs of war."
