Dutch National Ballet Announces Program For Season 2013/2014

The Dutch National Ballet announced its season 2013/2014. The season includes world premiere of full-length production of The Tempest by Krzysztof Pastor as well as world premieres by Juanjo Arqués/Krijn de Koning, Hans van Manen/Remy van Kesteren, Ton Simons/Rineke Dijkstra, and Jorma Elo/Viktor & Rolf.

The new season which will open September 7, 2013, with gala, will include European premiere by Alexei Ratmansky and a Dutch premiere by Emio Greco/Pieter C. Scholten.

The Dutch National Ballet will revive ballet of The Dream and Paquita, Don Quichotte, and a charming story of The Sleeping Beauty.

The coming season will be the 10th season for Ted Brandsen as director of the company.

Program for season 2013/20014:

Les Sylphides, Dutch premiere of Le Corps DU BALLET, DON QUICHOTTE, THE SLEEPING BEAUTY, NEW MOVES.

FAIRYTALES won't be missing including Firebird - European premiere, and The Dream.

DUTCH DOUBLES will contain world premieres choreographed by Hans van Manen, second world premiere choreographed by Jorma Elo, third world premiere choreographed by Ton Simons, and world premiere by Juanjo Arqués.

The season will continue with Paquita, featuring music by Ludwig Minkus, Edouard Deldevez, Adolphe Adam, Riccardo Drigo,Nikolai Tcherepnin and Yuli Gerber, arranged by John Lanchbery, Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Trois Gnossiennes, Without Words, choreographed by Hans van Manen, and Duet.

Another world premiere choreographed by Krzysztof Pastor in collaboration with Shirin Neshat, will be brought to The Amsterdam Music Theatre, in June, 2014.
