For months now, rumors have been flying that Selena Gomez is dating Justin Bieber. In a recent interview, the "Come and Get It" singer admitted that her new music video may have left the Biebs incredibly jealous, following their numerous, high-profile breakups.
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez's on-again, off-again status can rival that of even Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson. The hot A-list couple have broken up and gotten back together more times than anyone can count, and it looks like they may be getting back together.
Gomez recently sat down with Ryan Seacrest, where she opened up about the inspiration behind her new music video for "The Heart Wants What It Wants."
When asked asked about how Bieber responded to the video, Entertainment Tonight explains how candidly Gomez addressed the questions:
"[Gomez] tells Seacrest that [Bieber] thought it was beautiful. 'I think it was really hard,' she says of his reaction, before adding jokingly, 'I think he was a little jealous of the video guy at first.'...Gomez admits that both her and Bieber had an issue with 'identity' this year. As she's admitted in the past, she's still trying to discover who she is, and says this was one of the reasons the two have had such a back and forth romance."
While Selena refrained from revealing exactly who the song was about, many felt that she was directly referencing her on-again, off-again flame.
Hollywood Life also picked up on the hidden meaning behind Gomez's latest jam. According to the popular U.S.-based website, Selana's new song is likely all about the Biebs:
"Selena took to her Instagram to tease her new music on Nov. 4, sharing some heartfelt lyrics that totally seemed to be about her up-and-down relationship with Justin...Selena Gomez, 22, is back in the studio after a year-long hiatus! And while it may look like the 'Come and Get It' singer is completely over her ex Justin Bieber, 20, she definitely seems to be channeling her feelings for the 'Baby' singer into some new music that we can't wait to hear!"
