A long time ago in a galaxy far away….OK, more like just a few years back and on the Disney Channel, Phineas and Ferb (starring Thomas Sangster, also known from his roles in Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead and Maze Runner) took a trip Across the Second Dimension. A sequel to the 2010 made for TV movie has been released as part of the Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars Blu RayDVD Set. Now the new special, Tales From the Resistance makes its TV debut tonight on Disney XD.
There might be 104 days of summer vacation, but that is just not enough. Summer comes early this year in the form of an all new Phineas and Ferb special. As Phineas would say, “I think I know what we are going to do today.”
The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new event, “Phineas and Ferb Tales From the Resistance,” reads:
“Doofenshmirtz is defeated but a new threat in second dimension emerges, and Phineas, Ferb, Candace and her resistance fighters team up to battle the new foe; Phineas and Ferb try to invent their own sport.”
The never before aired special, can also be seen as a special feature on the newly released Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars DVD/Blu Ray set.
The episode is a direct sequel to the events from the made for TV musical movie, Phineas and Ferb Across the Second Dimension. In the original, the boys travel to an alternate dimension, where Doofenshmirtz has taken over the tri-state area.
