World Boxing Champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. Comments On Scandal Surrounding Lawsuit and Ex-Fiance's Abortion Pictures

Floyd Mayweather Jr. drips with sweat and class when he fights in the ring. Currently he is and the undefeated world champ, and this is just the beginning of his accomplishments as professional boxer. He has won ten world titles spanning across many different weight divisions. Mayweather has most notably received the "Best Fighter ESPY Award" every year since 2007, excluding 2009. However, Mayweathers' personal life is not quite as glamorous. His break up with now ex-fiancé, Shantel Jackson, can be considered messy at the least. She actually sued him earlier this year over a sonogram photo, and now he is saying the gloves are off and nothing is off limits.

The beginning of their engagement was just as glamorous as any other multi million-dollar athlete's. It was glamour, big and expensive. The engagement ring he got her reportedly cost $10 million . However, as New York Daily News points out, things took a legal and dangerous turn for the worse after the break:

"Floyd Mayweather was slapped with a lawsuit Thursday claiming he KO'd his former fiancée's privacy and emotional wellbeing when he posted a sonogram photo online and accused her of aborting their twins...Ex-lover Shantel Jackson also claims the undefeated boxer twisted her arm and choked her during an argument in August 2012 and then pointed a gun at her in April 2013 while asking which toe she wanted him to shoot."

If that wasn't classy enoughfor you, then Mayweather's recent comments on the situation are sure to please you! TMZ reports:

"At age 37 I am an undefeated boxer. I have been the world champion in five different weight divisions...Both parties are public figures. Abortion is a public issue...A public figure involved with another public figure in a public relationship can expect publicity, not privacy..."

Even though Floyd's analysis of public figures not having privacy is true, that doesn't mean he has to add flames to the fire. However, there is most likely more to the story. What do you think? Is Mayweather in the right? Or, did he take this thing below the belt? Let us know in the comment section below.
