Steve Austin and Hulk Hogan Feud: Stone Cold Reacts to Being Called a Coward

The now retired Stone Cold Steve Austin accomplished a lot during his time as a professional wrestler. He wrested with organizations like ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling) and WCW (World Championship Wrestling), however, Austin really made his claim to fame in the late 90's with the WWF, before it became the WWE. During his time with the company, he established himself as a beer-drinking, foulmouthed rebel who didn't take bull from anyone, especially former company chairman Vince McMahon. And now it seems that Stone Cold's reputation for being bad to the bone has landed him in the sights of another legend, Hulk Hogan. Hulk has been going around calling out Austin in an attempt to bring Steve out of retirement. Stone Cold has also hinted that he might have something to say on his own live show.

Austin has commented in the past that he didn't want to wrestle Hogan (who is now 61-years old), because it wouldn't be a good match. They have both been out of wrestling shape for quite a while now.

Nevertheless, according to Inquisitr, Hogan has still been ranting against Austin:

"...[Hogan] went out of his way to call out "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, going as far as calling Austin a coward. Hogan said that he wants 'to get that coward that's hiding under the weeds 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin' when he was asked about who he wanted to face at WrestleMania 31...Hogan also said that Austin would be fun to beat up and that he would love to 'open a can of whoop a** on him."

A reporter from Rolling Stone caught up with Austin, to see if he had anything to say in regards to Hogan's negative comments. According to Cage Side Seats, Stone Cold seemed amused:

"The last time I talked to Hulk was at Summer Slam, but I didn't even bring up the podcast because we were just sitting in the hallway. Now he's been making the rounds calling me a coward, trying to get a match out of me [laughs], so I've not talked to Hulk Hogan." When asked if he thought Hogan was serious or just messing around Austin replied, "I think he's doing both. It's interesting. Maybe on the live show I'll have a retort."

For some, it would be nice to see Austin out of retirement. For other, they would rather see Hogan take him out. Which side of the ring are you on? Let us know in the comment section below.
