NBC New Debra Messing ‘Mysteries of Laura’ Episode Spoilers: ‘True Blood’s’ Janina Gavankar Talks ‘Arrow’ Reunion with Tommy Merlin Colin Donnell

Tonight, NBC’s new Debra Messing (Will & Grace) series, The Mysteries Of Laura is all new. Check out the new episode preview in the report below. The show also stars Janina Gavankar (True Blood, Arrow), who recently reunited with one of old Arrow pals, Colin Donnell (Tommy Merlin) on Mysteries.

The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of The Mysteries Of Laura: The Mysteries, titled

“A fertility doctor vanishes and his wife suspects foul play, so the detectives investigate and find themselves heading to the racetrack. Meanwhile, Laura earns the ire of a group of moms when the twins are accused of bullying others in their marital-arts class.”

In addition to Debra Messing, the show also stars Janina Gavankar. Gavankar is known for her role as the skinwalking shifter Luna on HBO’s True Blood. She also had a run as, Ollie’s (Stephen Amell’s) one time girlfriend, Detective McKenna Hall on The CW series Arrow.

Recently, Gavankar spoke to Celebrity Cafe about going from HBO to the more teen friendly CW:

Arrow called me and they asked me if I wanted to do the show. I had met Stephen at Comic Con before, he had just done Hung and I had just done True Blood. We were two actors who had just spent some serious years doing very sexy stuff on very sexy shows and then I was brought in to be his romantic arch for his character on Arrow. By the time we actually got down to filming the down and dirty scene, we had to do it the CW style, and it didn’t feel right being two HBO kids. The CW version is they kiss, they get on the bed and then they pan away. We get along really really well on set. Many of my friends have been feature on Arrow it’s funny how that worked out.”

Gavankar recently reunited with one of her Arrow cast mates on Mysteries of Laura:

“Colin Donnell, who played Tommy Merlin, just guested on the last Mysteries of Laura. This has become the show that all of my friends end up on!”

Be sure to check out the all new episode of The Mysteries of Laura, tonight at 8:00 p.m. eastern on NBC.
