Washington Wizards John Wall Makes Winning Cancer Dedication, Colin Cowherd Radio FEUD Scandal Continues

In life we all face challenges and struggles. In turn, it is nice to see someone show honor and respect to another human being. That is just what Washington Wizard's star John Wall did after a win over the Celtics this week. He honored a young girl and friend, who unfortunately succumbed to cancer. His heartfelt dedication had the unexpected effect of reigniting the feud between Wall and ESPN host Colin Cowherd.

John Wall originally reigns from the Raleigh area of North Carolina. Currently, he utilizes his speed as point guard for the Washington Wizards.

Wall played college ball for only one year at the University of Kentucky, and was then the first overall pick in the 2010 NBA draft.

For most of his basketball career, Wall has surprised fans with his explosive athleticism. However, after the Wizard's recent win over the Celtics, Wall surprised fans in a different way.

According to TMZ Sports, he laid his heart on the line with a special dedication:

"Washington Wizards star John Wall fought back tears last night...after dedicating his performance to his 6-year-old friend Miyah Telemaque-Nelson who died of cancer Monday morning."

Wall said, "This is an emotional game for me...this is for Miyah ...one of my close friends that I lost that I met last year."

For most, a show of affection like this would resonate with them in a big way. However, this was not the case for Colin Cowherd.

According to Sporting News, The ESPN host took this time to address some previous distasteful comments he had made about Wall:

"'Was I too harsh on him? Eh, I host a radio show, I do basically 30 columns a day. But if you're looking for apologies, you're fishing off the wrong pier. I say what I mean, I mean what I say, and you begging to try to get attention's never going to happen. Ever. John Wall has grown. Hopefully, over five, six years, so have I' That's Cowherd basically dodging blame for what comes out of his mouth due to the nature of his programming schedule.

The site also points out that the comment, "John Wall has grown," can be seen as yet another backhanded remark. What do you think about the situation? Let us know in the comments below.
