In his life, Deion Sanders has been in the news many times. On occasion, he was honored for great achievements, like being inducted in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, over recent years, his name has only been mentioned when discussing his ugly divorce and custody battle. Now, his ex-wife Pilar Sanders has been thrown in jail for failing to adhere to the terms of their divorce agreement.
Deion is a very accomplished athlete. He is the only man to ever compete in an NFL Super Bowl and a MLB World Series. In 1989, he actually hit a homerun and scored a touchdown in the same week.
Now, however, he has left the glory days behind him, and focuses on his career as a sports analyst.
His time is divided, though, between working and dealing with his ex-wife. This blurb from a Huffington Post's report shows the public a glimpse into the two's disastrous split
"The former NFL star's divorce to his ex-wife Pilar has been a contentious one that has dragged on since 2011. Other than a battle over custody rights of their three children, the couple has also clashed on the topic of finances and the validity of their prenuptial agreement. Though the couple's divorce has finally been approved, Sanders' legal woes may be far from over."
The author of this article must have had a crystal ball, because, according to TMZ Sports, Deion and Pilar are taking their issues to court yet again:
"Deion Sanders' ex-wife was sentenced to seven days behind bars today for failing to return their kids in a timely manner ... as they agreed to do in their divorce agreement. Pilar Sanders was found in contempt, and immediately taken into custody. The judge ruled she did not bring their 3 children back to do Deion on time...and also took them when it wasn't her turn. Pilar did not have an attorney with her..."
