UFC Champs Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey Sign Deal With Reebok; Clothing Brand Fraud Scandal Solved

Reebok is one of the most successful athletic brands to exist in the open market. However, in 2013 the company's Indian subsidiary was involved in an unsightly fraud scandal. Now, however, they seem to be turning things around as they embark on an ambitious partnership with the UFC. Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey are the two top athletes to be signed as of yet.

Reebok has actually been a subsidiary of the German company Adidas since 2005. Since then, they have manufactured some of the most popular sports gear to hit the market. The NFL, MLB and NHL all sport gear officially made by Reebok.

Now recent reports are showing the organization is branching out yet again, and they couldn't have picked a more popular partner. The UFC's Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey will officially be sporting some Reebok gear in their upcoming fights. According to MMA News, the brand's commitment is on the next level:

"Reebok today announced partnerships with two of the top Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) athletes in the world, UFC® World Champions Jon Jones and Ronda Rousey. The signings of Jones and Rousey follow the recent announcement of Reebok's groundbreaking partnership with UFC, the world's leading mixed martial arts organization, taking the global fitness brand's commitment to the sport to an entirely new level."

There is much that can be said concerning this partnership, but for Reebok it's a step in the right direction. According to Bloomberg, the company was involved in fraud in 2013:

"Adidas's Reebok business in India will be investigate by the country's anti-fraud agency for suspected accounting irregularities...[the company] filed a criminal complaint...after saying last month it had found flaws at the Indian arm of its Reebok unit. Police are investigating two former Reebok India executives after the company made allegations of fraudulent practices worth as much as ($155 million)."
