Jessica Jung, Sacked Member of K-Pop's Girls’ Generation, May Be Making Her Solo US Debut with Jermaine Jackson

Jessica Jung, former member of the K-pop group Girls’ Generation, may be making her solo U.S. debut.

A video uploaded to Instagram shows Jung recording in a studio with Jermaine Jackson, causing speculation that the idol is preparing for her solo debut.

The short video was uploaded by Reggie Martin, the senior manager of special events and sports at the Venetian Macau in China. Martin handles VIP and celebrity relations for the casino.

"Jessica Jung a Korean star and Jermaine Jackson from legendary group Jackson 5 the brother of Michael and Janet Jackson making magic happen in the studio. What a[sic] amazing experience to see a[sic] icon in action. Stay tuned for 2015. #greatness," the video's caption reads.

Jung was formerly the first member of the nine-person girl group Girls’ Generation before being kicked out of the group in 2014 due to constant conflicts with her personal schedule. In the months since, she has become a fashion designer, launching her own brand, BLANC & ECLARE.

But Jung is still under the group's label, SM Entertainment, as a solo artist. Her last released song with Girls' Generation was “Divine,” released as part of the repackaged version of their first Japanese greatest hits album, The Best.

There has been no official word from Jessica or SM Entertainment regarding the video of her in the studio.

Hopefully, for Jessica fans, more information about the artist's plans will be released soon. Until then, check out the Instagram video below:
