In Mariah's defense, not only has Nick Cannon been seen out partying in the weeks after they decided to divorce, his rumored girlfriend, Amber Rose, is the hottest thing on Instagram right now. Whiz Kalifa's soon-to-be ex-wife practically put a photoshopped Kim Kardashian to shame with her next-to-nude big booty bikini pic posts.
For weeks now all the internet gossip sites and tabloids have been insisting night and day that Mariah Carey is coming apart at the seams in the wake of her impending divorce to Nick Cannon.
The latest story in Mariah's fall from grace revolves around her rumored affair with hip-hop star Eminem and the diva's desperate desire to reconnect with the foul mouthed rapper.
A source claiming to know all the sordid details insists in the latest January 25 issue of Star Magazine that Mariah still holds a special place in her heart for Marshall Mathers, even though she knows she shouldn't:
"Mariah may have denied their relationship in the past, but she will always have a special place in her heart for Eminem.
"Lately, she's been so desperate for male attention that she actually reached out, trying to hook up...but Em found it laughable and turned her down."
According to the informant, Mariah usually wouldn't act this way even in the worst of circumstances, but desperate times call for desperate measures:
"The fact the Mariah is lonely enough to go after a guy who publicly bashed her says a lot about her mental state.
"Right now, she is just looking for anyone who'll give her a little TLC."
To understand what's got Mariah so desperate all one has to look at is the competition.
Mariah was far from the top of her game when she snagged Nick Cannon six years ago, and now that her husband is rumored to be dating Amber Rose as well as managing her, Carey must know somewhere deep down inside that she will never get her husband back.
