NY Giants Eli Manning ATTACKS Rival Quarterback Tom Brady Over Deflate-Gate Scandal Obsession

Like his brother Payton, Eli Manning is known for his great skill and integrity. He holds many records, and when he talks, people tend to listen. In turn, it was interesting to learn of Eli's opinions on the Deflate-Gate scandal. Apparently, Tom Brady's obsession with PSI stands out as fishy to the Giants' star. Also, when it comes to pounds of pressure, sources are claiming that multiple balls involved in the investigation had significantly less than the required minimum.

Before the NFL, Eli played college ball for the University of Mississippi.

During his time there, his impressive statistics at performances earned him a first overall pick by the Chargers in the 2004 NFL Draft. He was quickly traded to the Giants, and from there, the rest is in the history books.

Eli holds several Giants' franchise records, including most passing yards, touchdown passes and completed passes in a career. He also has the NFL record for most fourth-quarter touchdown passes in a season. He led the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI, defeating the New England Patriots in both games.

In turn, it has been said that the Giants are the only ones who can stand between the Pats and their championship.

According to TMZ Sports, Manning lashed out against Tom Brady and his involvement in deflate-gate:

"Eli Manning claims he doesn't give a crap about the pressure in his footballs -- and says the fact that Tom Brady obsesses over it seems incredibly strange...The 2-time Super Bowl champ was a guest speaker at a private function when he was asked for his opinion on Deflate-Gate. 'I never worried really much about the inflation,' Manning said ... 'I thought it was kind of strange that [Tom] Brady knew he liked his ball at 12.5 pounds of pressure in the ball. That's the minimum number you can have...seems kind of strange to me...'"

True, it may seem a little weird that Brady likes them so low. However, according to NBC Sports, the balls in question were even lower than viewers were previously led to believe:

"What has the NFL really found? As one league source has explained it...the football intercepted by Colts linebacker D'qwell Jackson was roughly two pounds under the 12.5 PSI minimum. The other 10 balls that reportedly were two pounds under may have been, as the source explained it, closer to one pound below 12.5 PSI."

So what does this mean for the upcoming Super Bowl? If the Patriots are found guilty, what affect will that have on the biggest game of the year? Let us know you thoughts in the comment section below.
