American Sniper is one of the hottest films at the box office right now. The movie is raking in millions and millions in theaters, and the accolades are stacking up. The film has earned six Academy Award Nominations, including Best Actor Bradley Cooper. Now Cooper and Chris Kyle’s real-life wife, Taya Kyle are both opening up about the American Sniper.
The late Chris Kyle and his wife,Taya Kyle, appear on the cover of this week’s PEOPLE. In the article, Taya laments the loss of her husband:
"I miss those family dinners where we would joke with the kids. I miss the way he laughed at the littlest things with me and the way the kids and I couldn't wait for him to come home from work. I miss how Chris changed the feeling in the room when he was in it."
American Sniper star Bradley Cooper spoke to the publication about why he decided to take on the role:
"I've always been interested on a personal level in helping our vets. I've been a part of USO on tours for over eight years...I had an appreciation for veterans before this, but what I definitely did not know is the toll that it takes on the family."
