Tony Awards 2013 Winners Recap: Neil Patrick Harris, Cyndi Lauper’s 'Kinky Boots' (Loser: Kathy Lee Gifford)

Unofficially, Neil Patrick Harris was the winner of last night's 2013 Tony Awards.

Held at the legendary Radio City Music Hall in New York City, the show opened as one might expect, with Neil Patrick Harris on full display.

NPH, who is no doubt a master of hosting, did not disappoint. In fact, he was probably the best part of Sunday's ceremony, performing a number of toe-tapping ditties that made Kinky Boots--and the Tonys, at large--accessible to an America that would rather be watching Game of Thrones.

Speaking of, Cyndi Lauper and Harvey Fierstein's Kinky Boots was the top Tony winner. Boots garnered six different awards, including Best New Musical, making it the most lauded musical of the evening.

Meanwhile, Kathie Lee Gifford did what she does best...lose. Gifford's Scandalous took home the least nominations, as her musical was generally deemed an aberration by everyone with eyes or ears

Best Play went to Christopher Durang's comedy Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike. This was his first Tony Award.

Best Revival of a Play went to Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Tracy Letts beat out Tom Hanks, winning Best Performance, for his role.

Cicely Tyson, 79, took home her first Tony for The Trip to Bountiful.

Outspoken NYC mayor Michael Bloomberg even won a special Tony, delivering one of the funnier acceptance speeches of the night.

"I can't sing, I can't dance and I can't act. I'm a triple threat, literally," Bloomberg said.

Yeah, Ibid.
