Kim Gordon Talks Thurston Moore, Hatred for Courtney Love and Crybaby Corgan in Memoir 'Girl in a Band' Out Feb. 24

Punk rock darling Kim Gordon is set to release her first memoir, Girl in a Band, on Feb. 24, but not before she briefly leaks some details on Thurston Moore, her hatred for Courtney Love and crybaby Billy Corgan.

In an exclusive with The Guardian, Gordon talked everything from her relationships to her very first Fluxus-inspired art project. Perhaps one of the most well known women in music, the Sonic Youth co-founder is not afraid to share her heavy heartedness.

Some of the more notable drama sung by Gordon in the interview include Moore's temper during stressful situations. He even went so far as to throw a stapler through a window--not out but through.

As far as her feelings on Corgan and Love are concerned, she said,

"Courtney [Love] asked us for advice about her 'secret affair' with Billy Corgan. I thought,Ewwww, at even the mention of Billy Corgan, whom nobody liked because he was such a crybaby, and Smashing Pumpkins took themselves way too seriously and were in no way punk rock."

There's even mention of Black Flag's Henry Rollins doing the twerk before it was even a concept.

Gordon will go tour supporting her forthcoming memoir later this February So if you can't stand to wait just a little longer, be sure to check out the exclusive at the Guardian.

But until then, here's her noise duo, Body/Head, below.
