Peter Max Unveils 47 New Frank Sinatra Paintings, Tour Through Lincoln Center and GRAMMY Museum

The "Chairman of the Board" and his world-famous countenance will be touring the world as Peter Max unveils 47 new paintings of Frank Sinatra to celebrate the centennial of his birth.

Max, as Page Six points out, will show the works depicting the famous lounge singer in different eras at his studio on March 2 with daughter, Nancy Sinatra.

A selection of pieces entitled Sinatra: An American Icon opens Wednesday, March 4 at Lincoln Center's New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The exhibit will feature recordings, clothing, art and other personal items. Several new Sinatra paintings by Max are part of the exhibition and the show will move to the GRAMMY museum Sept. 4. Select photographs from the exhibition will also be on view during the International Festival of Arts & Ideas in June in New Haven, Connecticut.

And if that wasn't enough, the show will also travel as part of the family-dubbed tour, "Sinatra 100."

ABC News states The Sinatra Experience at Morrison Hotel Gallery SoHo includes a selfie taken by a 23-year-old Sinatra in his Hoboken, New Jersey, bathroom mirror. Also on view will be photos by British photographer Terry O'Neill, who worked with "Ol' Blue Eyes" for more than 30 years.

The show runs from Thursday through March 26.

Sinatra was born Dec. 12, 1915, and died at 82 in 1998.

In the meantime, however, get down on some Sinatra tunes below.
