For over a year there have been reports surfacing that Ellen DeGeneres wife, Portia de Rossi, is sick and tired of the day time talk show host's controlling nature and wants out of their marriage. According to the latest gossip news updates, however, it's Ellen who is now said to have fallen out of love with the Scandal star and is wanting a divorce. While word has it that DeGeneres doesn't have anyone in mind to replace the Arrested Development star just yet, Ellen did make sure to save time to support fellow lesbian and Keeping Up with the Kardashian dad, Bruce Jenner, last night as she announced her new gender identity to the world.
Everyone has always just seemed to assume that if anybody was walking out of the marriage it would probably be Portia de Rossi, but it's now being reported that it's Ellen who has finally had enough.
One source close to the comedienne explained in the May 4, issue of In Touch, that Ellen may not make things official until she has lined up another girlfriend for a seamless transition, but her current relationship is as good as done:
"Ellen's been unhappy with Portia for a while now and wants out...[but] Ellen hates to be alone.
"She's never broken up with anyone unless she has someone else waiting for her, and she's not interested in anyone right now."
Ellen may be keeping things on the down low until she finds a suitable mate to take Portia's place, but de Rossi is said to not be quite so picky in her current search to find a fill-in lover.
An eyewitness to one of Portia's Hollywood rendezvous told Celeb Dirty Laundry, that she was with a man that didn't seem to be one of her usual beards:
"Portia's pal sure as heck doesn't give off gay vibes."
Whatever is going on in her private life, Ellen, who was one of the first successful stars to come out publicly as gay in the 90s, didn't miss an opportunity to support fellow LGBTQ member and lesbian, Bruce Jenner, via Twitter as she told Diana Sawyer about her new sexual identity:
"Bruce Jenner is a beautiful, brave human being.
"Sending him lots of love.
"He's saving lives and opening minds tonight."
Who knows...maybe the fates allowed for Bruce Jenner to finally declare that she is a proud lesbian last night for a reason.
