Writer/director Ajit Raipal says Poonam has something else that might surprise you.
“She will surprise you everyone with her acting skills,” the director noted. Ajit previously established Poonam in the film Nasha and will likely make her a serious actress with Helen. Unlike Nasha, Raipal will direct the Bollywood goddess in Helen.
A right mixture of “naughtiness, sultriness and sheer talent,” Poonam Pandey shot to fame due to her sex appeal. Helen, Raipal feels, will make Poonam dig deeper. The director believes the character is exactly like Poonam, both are notoriously famous for bringing seduction, intimation and sublime sexuality forward, and as Ajit Rajpal puts it, “She will surprise everyone with her acting skills.”
According to Raipal, he was seeking a face for Nasha, and Poonam had that rare ex-factor. He has tracked her progression and felt now was the time for Poonam to show who she was.
“Viewers are invariably excited about fresh faces and Poonam is exactly the kind of talent they are extremely curious to know more about. I wasn’t too happy about the way movies made it to 'Silver Screen'. So with Helen, I made a condition, If I am writing it, I will directing it...Creative interference into a writer’s work from producers and directors has propelled me to turn director so that they don’t ruin my work.” says Ajit.
