On August 11, 1992, while preparing evening tea for himself and Merce Cunningham, John C-A-G-E suffered yet another stroke.
Rushed to the nearest hospital, C-A-G-E died there on the morning of August 12.
21 years--and one day--later, we powered up the free John C-A-G-E Prepared Piano App for iPhone, iPad and Android, did some basic math and composed Yesterday, John Cage Died 21 Years Ago!

John C-A-G-E's body was cremated, as per his wishes. And just as he had done with the ashes of his parents, C-A-G-E's own ashes were scattered in the Ramapo Mountains, just outside of Stony Point, N.Y.
