Zack Snyder talks Brainiac & Metallo in ‘Batman v Superman’ & ‘Justice League’ Movies? [VILLAINS]

DC Comics and Warner Brothers are gearing up for a big Comic-Con 2015 push. Ahead of the massive event, Entertainment Weekly has released a massive cover issue, featuring all things Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The entire cast of the upcoming Justice League films is reported to be on hand included the highly rumored two Green Lanterns. In the new article, director Zack Snyder talks about the villains that could have been, and still might be, including Metallo (John Corben) and Brainiac. Check out the report below to see what Snyder had to say.

Recently, Zack Snyder spoke with Entertainment Weekly about the potential villains that have been rumored to appear in Batman v Superman and Justice Leauge (via Screenrant):

“I remember talking about ‘What’s the next villain? We can’t do another alien invasion.’ Brainiac was definitely down the road. Metallo, I think, was going to be the main bad guy of this movie.”

In the DCU Metallo, John Corben is was a low level criminal, with (at one time) ties to the murder of Bruce Wayne’s parents, turned Kryptonite powered cyborg.

Brainiac is high powered, super intelligent alien/android who is often (although not originally) portrayed as a Kryptonian invention with ties to the destruction of the Superman’s homeworld.

Both Brainiac and Metallo have been featured in various forms of media, including animated films and TV shows, and were both seen in the live action series Smallville, played by James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Brian Austin Green (90210) respectively.
