Word has it that in the few months that they've been officially dating that Taylor Swift has drawn ever closer to her new boyfriend, Calvin Harris. According to the latest gossip news updates, the "Blank Space" beauty absolutely adores the 32-year-old EDM DJ, though she often can't understand him. As silly as it sounds, the 1989 singer is said to be watching the British versions of her favorite TV shows in order to better understand the Scottish accent. In a related story, Swift's ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, recently commented on Good Morning America's decision to play Taylor's "Bad Blood" in the background during his interview with Robin Roberts.
Taylor Swift is said to quickly be falling head-over-heels for her new boyfriend, Calvin Harris, with there already being rumors of plans for a wedding, but the 25-year-old popstar might not be sure what she's even agreeing to most day, thanks to her man's thick Scottish brogue .
One source in the July 27, issue of InTouch Weekly claims that at times Taylor can't make neither heads nor tails of what's coming out of Calvin's mouth, though she loves him all the same:
"Calvin wants Taylor to understand people with thick Scottish accents.
"Taylor is a huge TV crime show fan, so Calvin has introduced her to the U.K. cop series that feature Scottish actors."
According to the informant, Taylor has done her best to watch the shows but has to cheat a little bit to get thought them:
"She's watching them with the subtitles on.
"It's been quite a laugh among Calvin's friends."
While things seem to be going swimmingly for Taylor and Calvin at the moment, her ex-boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal, is still somewhat haunted by the specter of their relationship.
During a recent chat with Entertainment Tonight, the Southpaw actor had to explain that he was not nearly as taken aback by Good Morning America's decision to play "Bad Blood "during his interview as everyone else seemed to be by it:
"I'm always some place to do my job. My job is the most important.
"I'm not really listening to background anything."
Well, at least, Robin Roberts didn't force Jake to listen to "We Are Never Getting Back Together" one more time.
