Like most of us, Bollywood beauty and new American TV star Priyanka Chopra has a busy life. There is work, movies to be made and American TV shows to get herself prepared for, family. In between there's not a whole lot of time for much else. That's why the busy Bollywood beauty is only doing a low key, for Bollywood at least, birthday affair and then getting right back to work.
Chopra is in the process of shooting Bajirao Mastani. The intense film co-stars real life couple Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone. India Today gives us details on her role in the film, "Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial venture Bajirao Mastani has at its core a love story based in the 18th century. The film features Ranveer Singh as Maratha warrior Peshwa Bajirao I, while his second wife Mastani's role is essayed by Deepika Padukone. Priyanka will be seen in the role of Kashibai, the first wife of Peshwa Bajirao."
It was up to Priyanka's mother Madhu to organize a birthday party; otherwise, there might have been none at all. Priyanka was grateful, however, for the gesture. According to the website DNA, Priyanka says, "I am so busy that I don't even get proper time to sleep. My mum is worried but it's a good thing right? To have so much work that you are exhausted. Not having work will be more problematic."
In spite of having only an "impromptu" party, the event got more than its fair share of celebrities. Among them, India Today tells us, was Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Kangana Ranaut, and Priyanka's cousin Parineeti Chopra who made an appearance to wish Priyanka Happy Birthday. As well, such distinguished filmmakers as Anurag Basu, Vikas Bahl, Vishal Bhardwaj, Madhur Bhandarkar, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Ashutosh Gowariker and Ritesh Sidhwani dropped in to say "Hello" to the newly minted 33-year-old actress.
