When you think of American Horror Story you might think of regulars like Lily Rabe, Evan Peters or Sarah Paulson, but you most definitely think of Jessica Lange. The actress has been a dominating force in every single Season of AHS. Unfortunately for fans, Lange quit the series after the fourth season to pursue other projects. However, there are new reports that Lange might be checking into the Hotel, or maybe even the Murder House. That is right, this season will be connected to Season 1, with a trip back to the infamous Murder House. Could we see Jessica Lange return in Season 5?
Ryan Murphy recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about life without Lange:
“There’s a chance to do something Jessica would not have done. So it’s a different tone. But it’s still the show -- make no mistake. I think it has what people want...There’s something about this season that’s got real heat to it. It’s pulsating. Every season has a different tone or a color. And I think this year for sure would be blood red.”
Murphy went on to add that we have not seen the last of Jessica Lange (via Huffington Post):
"She’ll be back -- she’s not gone forever."
Lange, herself has has admitted to a possible return, telling The Wrap:
“If Ryan came to me and said, ‘Would you want to do a small character for a couple episodes?’ I would absolutely say yes if I liked it. This was a great collaboration, so I would love to keep working with him.”
We already know that we are taking a trip back to Season 1’s Murder House. Could we also be seeing the return of Lange’s Constance Langdon? When we last saw Constance she had ran off to bigger and bloodier things.
