Top 3 Reasons to Pre-order 'Fallout 4'

On November 10th, the long awaited Fallout 4 releases to ticker tape parades and much fanfare. Here are our top 3 reasons you should pre-order Fallout 4 and join the post-apocalyptic party.

1. Fallout 4 will be massive.

It will be Bethesda's largest game ever. This is the same studio that brought us the critically acclaimed games Dishonored and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The world available to explore at launch will be huge. NPC interaction will be a major draw of the game, with branching speech trees and tons of dialogue. In fact, one source stated that there will be over 111,000 lines of dialogue in the game, more than Fallout 3 and Skyrim combined. With a rich world to explore, people and creatures to see, save, kill, dismember and more, this will be the one of the largest RPG's to date.

2. Fallout 4 is in a class of its own.

In addition to the usual RPG elements, like questing and killing anything you like, Fallout 4 will feature civilization building elements. Players will be able to craft an enormous variety of items for use in building actual settlements to help repopulate the Wasteland, set in post-apocalyptic Boston two hundred years after The Great War. In fact, players will be responsible for ensuring there is adequate electricity, protection, and even trade for the settlements. Yes, it will be possible to build multiple settlements with NPC's living in them.

3. More Fallout is coming.

Bethesda is already planning to release updates for Fallout 4 similar to those of Skyrim. This might include additional items, new quests, new ways to fight. Skyrim had excellent updates, especially in regards to new content being added for no additional cost.

Fallout 4, like the other games in the series, paid DLC content planned as well, so we'll be getting new stuff on a regular basis. You can spring for the $30 season pass, which will give access to all upcoming DLC for Fallout 4.

But wait, there's more.  The best is yet to come. One of the things that has made Skyrim even richer than the base and DLC content is the modding. I'm a PC gamer, always have been, and mods have made many of my games so much more amazing than the original game. Bethesda will be making modding easier than ever.

"Like all our previous games, we've made sure to keep Fallout 4 open and moddable at every step in development. Early next year we'll release for free the new Creation Kit for the PC. This is the same tool we use in the studio. You'll be able to create your own mods and share them with others. We're especially excited these same mods will then be coming to Xbox One, and then PlayStation 4."

After years of development, Fallout 4 is finally coming out, and I'll certainly be getting my preorder in ASAP. Check out some gameplay footage below to get a feel for what's coming.  What do you think?  Will you be pre-ordering Fallout 4?
