Bollywood hasn't shown too much interest in superhero movies. About the only one who has even attempted one is The Greek God of Bollywood himself Hrithik Roshan. Director Karan Johar thinks that Roshan would be perfect as DC Comics character the Green Arrow. The interesting thing is that Roshan has a strong command of the English language. He could easily be cast in a Hollywood production.
Currently, the CW is running a production of the Green Arrow, entitled Arrow, but, as of yet, there is no big screen version. Karan Johar had these thoughts about Roshan doing the role. From the Hindustan Times, "As Arrow I think Hrithik Roshan is the perfect superhero, you can make him do anything. So be it Arrow, or be it any other kind of avenger, he would be amazing."
Roshan already stars in a superhero franchise in his native India. Written and directed by his father Rakesh, Krrsh tells the story, this via IMDB, "Krishna Mehra inherits supernatural powers from his father Rohit; there-in he is able to do things that are impossible for normal human beings to perform. When Rohit goes to Singapore to work on one of Dr. Siddhant Arya's project he disappears believe to be dead. Fearing that the same will happen to her grandson, Krishna; Sonia Mehra decides to re-locate to a mountainous region with Krishna. Intrigued by his girlfriend Priya; Krishna decides to go to Singapore - when he arrives there he will find that his father Rohit is still alive and he must use his powers to rescue him from the contended wrath of Dr. Arya who is holding him captive. "
For good reason does Karan Johar think Hrithik Roshan could play the part of the Green Arrow. The film was not only a success for Roshan, it also re-jumpstarted his career.
