Spoiler Alert: A lot of TV show’s are taking the week off for the Thanksgiving holiday, but not Ash vs. Evil Dead. The sequel series to the beloved cult classic film franchise is carving up an all new episode of bloody, bloody fun with an ageing Ash taking on the Army of Darkness. The official plot synopsis for tonight’s all new episode of Ash vs. Evil Dead, titled “The Host,” reads:
“Kelly places the team in jeopardy; Pablo makes a courageous move; and Ash turns over a new leaf, revealing a new side to his character.”
Over the summer Bruce Campbell spoke to Entertainment Weekly about an aged Ash going to war with deadites:
“I read an essay once how you should send the old guys into battle because they know what’s coming. If they get killed, they’ve already lived a long life, and they know what pain is. Ash is kind of like that. He’s the guy they actually need to send in there because he knows all their tricks. He’s clever in his own way and very resilient. So our team will definitely be challenged in every direction. Ash in is way over his head from the get-go.”
