It's only been a few short weeks since Halle Berry announced that she was divorcing her husband of all of two-years, Olivier Martinez. According to the latest gossip news updates, the real reason the Extant actress has been taking this split so well has to do with her budding romance with rapper Chris Webby. Word has it that Catwoman started a platonic relationship with the rising hip-hop star while still married, and as soon as things went south his Martinez the pair started dating.
For the first time in her life, it appears that Halle Berry is managing to handle a split with from a longtime lover with a little poise and grace, but that might have something to do with the reported romance she already has with Chris Webby.
One source in the latest December 28, issue of Star magazine claims that although Halle didn't make any inappropriate moves on Chris while she and Olivier were still officially together almost as soon as the divorce papers were filed she and Webby started seeing one another:
"They hit it off right away. It was kind of uncomfortable for him to feel that attraction for a married woman, but they kept things on a simple, friendly level until she separated form Olivier, and then their relationship advanced.
"He's got a house in Hollywood and an apartment in NYC, and they get together whenever it works."
As exciting as that all sounds, the secret insider that People magazine spoke to swore up and down that Halle is far too busy dealing with her divorce to be dating Webby or anyone else for that matter:
"Halle Berry seems be embracing aspects of her new single life, but...is not dating.
"They are still working out the divorce details, but there is no fighting."
