While the last couple of Bachelor leads definitely weren't touted as being overly religious, it seems that ABC's latest single beau is looking to follow the example of The Virgin Bachelor, Sean Lowe. According to the latest gossip news updates, a contestants' faith was just as important to Ben going into Season 20 as their looks. The mild mannered software salesman even admitted to calling Lowe for advice before going on the show.
ABC's seems to have just about broken the mold with their latest Season 20 Bachelor Ben Higgens.
During a recent interview with Parade magazine, the 26-year-old explained that he didn't want his time on the reality series to be all about how many women he had kissed (via Hollywood Take):
"I went into this season and, after talking to mentors and friends, thought about how I wanted to do it.
"I really wanted to concentrate on getting to know these women inside, more than just the physical aspect.
"I wanted to make sure that we spent our time getting to know each other one-on-one and not necessarily kissing the whole time."
In fact, Ben tells Life & Style that more than anything he wants to get to know which contestants have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior:
"I would really like to find a woman [who has] a similar faith as I do.
"I think that'll be important as we raise a family."
