Despite being plagued by rumors they were unhappy throughout their marriage and ultimately filing for divorce a few months ago, Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger may not be splitting up after all. According to the latest gossip news updates, the reports that the complicated Sk8er girl was dating Ryan Cabrera turned out to be false as Lavigne wants nothing more than to reunite with her Nickleback husband.
It was just last September when Avril Lavigne suddenly released an official statement through Instagram announcing that she and Chad Kroeger were calling it quits after two long years of marriage (via E! News):
"It is with a heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today.
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments.
"We are still and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support."
It would seem that that declaration of separation might have been a little premature, however, as Avril and her not-so-estranged husband were recently seen happily hanging out together in L.A.
One source in the latest January 4, issue of OK! Magazine claims that since their split, Avril and Chad have actually had a change of heart:
"Avril and Chad have been in constant contact since separating.
"Time apart made them realize how much they still love each other...[they're] getting along better than ever.
"Buzz is they're on the road to reconciliation."
