As we all know, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan used to date. They broke up when Ranbir Kapoor appeared on the scene, with some rancor on Salman's part, but that was the past. Salman is back on the scene now and doing his very best to support his ex following the break up from Ranbir Kapoor. Khan has been very visible in Katrina's presence, going so far as to invite her on his reality show, where he complimented her even further. Salman noted in front of Katrina that she was the strongest woman he knew.
Katrina appeared on Salman Khan's reality show Bigg Boss 9, along side actor Aditya Roy Kapur, to promote their new movie Fitoor. Though they hadn't appeared onstage together in a long time, both Salman and Katrina appeared at ease in each other's presence. Salman was in fineform and relentless of his praise for the Fitoor star. This from The Indian Express, "You were just 16-year-old when you came in the industry and reached so far. It is all your hard work, sheer hard work. If God asks me to choose between talent and hard work, I will pick the latter." His comments left Katrina blushing."
Since the alledged break up with Ranbir Kapoor, Salman has seen it his duty to step in and protect Kaif, which is classic Salman Khan. Of course, Salman wasn't above joking around with his former paramour either. Displaying the trademark Khan wit, Khan kidded Kaif mercilessly. This via Bollywood Life, "Then, he asked them the release date of Fitoor to which Gattu promptly replied that it's hitting theatres in the Valentine's Day week. That's when Salman asked all of them one by one what their plans for V-Day are. After Tabu, Gattu and Aditya, it was Katrina's turn to answer. And before she could answer, Salman started laughing saying, 'Tum chhod do' (You don't have to answer it). Katrina was left embarrassed on stage."
