Nuggets Injury Report: Jameer Nelson (wrist) has been ruled out against the Hawks. Kenneth Faried (groin) is questionable for tonight's game.
The Atlanta Hawks will be watching Jeff Teague closely over the next few weeks. An ankle sprain earlier in the season has been troubling for him for quite some time. "Teague has lacked consistency this season. His statistics are down a year after he made his first All-Star appearance averaging 14.4 points and 5.5 assists this season. The point total is his lowest since he averaged 12.6 points in 2011-12 in his first year as a starter." While his spot on the lineup hasn't change, his recent devolution in quality of gameplay has been troubling for the team.
The Denver Nuggets have finally got a set of players working well together. According to coach Michael Malone, "I would say Emmanuel [Mudiay] and Nikola [Jokic] especially, even Gary Harris, they've gotten quality minutes this year, and I think because of the experience they've gotten they're never afraid of the moment." And this trio's play over the last few games has certainly demonstrated significant growth potential. While the Hawks are favored to win tonight's game, if the Nuggets can pull this trio together, they stand a good chance tonight.
