‘Hamilton’s’ Renee Elise Goldsberry Joins Norm Lewis for Broadway Inspirational Choir Concert
Renee Elise Goldsberry is hitting the heights thanks to her role as Angelica Schuyler in Lin-Manuel Miranda's hit musical Hamilton. Now, Goldsberry is taking the stage alongside former Phantom of the Opera actor Norm Lewis, Rent’s Adam Pascal, Kinky Boots’ own Billy Porter and many others for a one night only concert with The Broadway Inspirational Choir.
Goldsberry isn’t the only name joining Norm Lewis and The Broadway Inspirational Choir. Other guest include: Michael McElroy, Billy Porter (Kinky Boots), Adam Pascal (Rent, Disaster), Joshua Henry (Violet), Telly Leung (Allegiance),Chad Kimball (Memphis), Eden Espinosa (Wicked), Marcus Paul James (Motown) and Jarrod Spector (Beautiful).
Goldsberry isn’t just rubbing elbows with some of Broadway’s finest, but Hamilton’s success has introduced her to the President of United States as well as many other influential people. Goldsberry recently spoke with Vulture about the amazing opportunity she has earned:
“The blessing for us, when we get to meet some of these people for the first time, it skips several steps in the meeting. Immediately there's an intimacy because you've watched us on a beautiful journey for three hours. We can actually have a conversation -- and these are people who usually have to keep their guard up. It's really a sacred moment.”
You can hear Norm Lewis, Renee Elise Goldsberry and all of the rest of the amazing voices on February 15, 2016 at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill. Tickets start at $30 and doors open at
6:00 PM. For more information visit. http://www.bbkingblues.com .
