Seth Rudetsky’s ‘Disaster!’ Musical Officially Opens Tonight

Seth Rudetsky's all new musical, Disaster! officially opens tonight (Tuesday, March 8). The show features an all star cast including Faith Prince, Roger Bart and Adam Pascal, just to name a few.

Co-writer and actor Seth Rudetsky spoke to Playbill last year about how Disaster came to be:

"Ever since I read Charles Busch's book 'Whores of Lost Atlantis,' I've always wanted to write a show and perform in it, surrounded by my friends. Well, it's happened!! I co-wrote Disaster! with my friend Jack, whom I've known since 1991, and everyone in the show is a friend from forever ago! I've known Faith since the early 90's (we have the same therapist!). And Kerry and I have known each other since we were in a kids nightclub in the 80's. Yes, she's younger than me. I could go through the whole cast but the point is this is a dream come true!"

Disaster! stars Faith Prince (Jerome Robbins’ Broadway) Roger Bart (You’re A Good Man Charlie Brown, Young Frankenstein, The Producers), Kevin Chamberlin (Addams Family The Musical), Adam Pascal (Rent, Aida), Rachel York (Les Misérables, Victor/Victoria, Kiss Me, Kate), Jennifer Simard (Sister Act, Shrek the Musical), Max Crumm (Grease, The Fantasticks), Lacretta Nicole (Book of Mormon) and Seth Rudetsky himself.

Disaster officially opens tonight and is scheduled to run until July 3 at The Nederlander Theatre, 208 West 41st Street New York, NY, 10036.
