Before Taylor Swift was swept off her feet by superstar DJ boyfriend Calvin Harris, the "Bad Blood" hitmaker was rumored to be dating Matt Healy, who revealed in a new interview that dating Swift would’ve been "emasculating."
"I don't do anything else, right, so it doesn't leave a lot of room for me going out, or shagging someone," the 1975 frontman told Q magazine. "So the one time I did have a flirtation with a girl it ends up going everywhere. ... I mean, I got on E! News and people were like, 'Who's Matt Healy?' so that was cool."
Clearly, not every flirty banter is supposed to lead to a romantic relationship, so Healy is not thrilled that his interaction with the 26-year-old chart topper was analyzed more than what it really was. In fact, he apparently thinks that dating Swift would’ve been degrading.
"If I had gone out with Taylor Swift I would've been, 'Fucking hell! I am NOT being Taylor Swift's boyfriend.' You know, 'FUCK. THAT.' That's also a man thing, a de-masculinating, emasculating thing."

Obviously, Swift is a powerful woman with a very successful career but before Swift Harris became an item, it was Healy who actually said that he was interested in dating the "Shake it Off" singer.
"I met Taylor Swift, that was really nice," he told Shazam Top 20 in 2014. "We exchanged numbers. Let's see what happens. I mean, what am I going to do? Go out with Taylor Swift? She's a sensation. I wouldn't say no."
