Sofia Vergara, the 41-year-old star of Modern Family has been extremely open about her plans to have a child with fiance Nick Loeb. The politically ambitious 38-year-old Loeb seems more interested in a breakup than a baby.
The couple has been plagued with rumors that they were splitting for almost the entire year they have been engaged.
First it was rumored that Vergara was no longer wearing her engagement ring. Then came double talk from her friends in Star that she was excited about the wedding, but in no hurry whatsoever to actually get married:
“Sofia is definitely still wearing her engagement ring and can’t wait to be married--it’s just that she’s so busy it’s hard to pin down a date for the wedding. But they’re not in a rush to tie the knot; Sofia is enjoying the journey and doesn't feel any pressure to make things official between her and Nick.”
Though she reportedly seemed to be in no hurry to get married, she admitted to Star that she was in a terrible rush to secure a baby for her man:
“I have my son, Manolo, so its not an emergency for me to have another kid, but for Nicky, he’s never had a baby. Nothing happens naturally anymore. I want to take advantage of science. Why not?”
Now, it seems things are back off, as Nick moves his things out of their shared Chelsea penthouse.
A source close to the couple told In Touch that Loeb has becoming ever-more distant:
“He’s been spending a lot of time apart from Sofia, going back and forth from NYC to Florida, while she’s been in L.A.”
Get it together guys. No one can keep up.
