Money In the Bank: Will Bray Wyatt Be the Next WWE World Heavyweight Champion?

The WWE just stripped Daniel Bryan of the World Heavyweight Championship title. In one of the most anticipated Pay-Per-Views in years, the title is up for grabs at June 29's Money In The Bank in a ladder match. Some experts are wondering if the next WWE champion will be Bray Wyatt.

It's not often these days that a heel goes over with as much appeal as Bray Wyatt has. WWE fans have always had a soft spot for dark figures, so it's surprising that it's been awhile since a heel has been as big a fan favorite as Wyatt. Sometimes it just comes down to timing. Wyatt has overtaken the WWE Universe's imagination by bringing all the right ingredients together at the right time (via Examiner):

"Since coming back to the WWE, Wyatt went from being a boring, one-dimensional wrestler to one of the best characters the WWE has created in years. He is possibly the most unique wrestler since the WWE created Mankind, Kane and The Undertaker two decades ago. He had solid feuds with Daniel Bryan and John Cena, and while he lost both feuds, it is to his credit that he remains hugely over - proving that he is something special."

With the recent purge of talent by the company's creative department, as well as the notable absence of superstars like Daniel Bryan, Batista and CM Punk, WWE is looking for some charismatic characters at the top of the card (via Auburn Pub):

"WWE's title scene would be much stronger with Bray Wyatt in it. He has proven himself over the past year and has shown that he can be one of WWE's top stars going forward. While he's labeled as a heel figure in traditional wrestling lingo, fans love him. Why? WWE has nothing that tops his character. And few can match Wyatt's ability on the mic."
