'One Million Moms Protest 'Lucifer' Again
They back and all hot and bothered by the devil again. The right wing protest group One Million Moms often launch memorably nutty campaigns against targets in entertainment. The Fox television show Lucifer has seemed to be a bone that really sticks in their throats. A while back the group had The Olive Garden in their sights for a possible boycott because they committed the egregious sin of buying advertising time during Lucifer. Now, they want the Energizer Bunny to stop giving batteries to old Scratch. It seems they are threatening Energizer for the same sin daring to decide they want to advertise on the show. Apparently, these people have no understanding of free speech issues. -
'Japanese Actor Killed by Prop Sword
Why is it that most all of the truly strange or stupid events in pop or serious culture stand a good chance of coming from Japan as a point of origin? That unique country seems to have a special mojo that attracts weird incidents.This weekend it was revealed that a Japanese actor by the name Daigo Kashino age 33 was rushed to the hospital and later died after being stabbed in rehearsal by a samurai sword. This was a stage prop samurai sword being used in rehearsal. This is the second bizarre death of a performer this year. An actor in Italy was choked in a stage hanging scene and died earlier in February.
