Rumors say Bang Bang star Katrina Kaif has been approached by director Sujoy Ghosh to play a single mother in an upcoming, untitled film based on Japanese bestselling novel The Devotion Of Suspect X. This potential news comes on top of the chatter about how Kaif is set to whisk away with Bollywood boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor to Saint Tropez.
With a script turned down by Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan, Ghosh looked to Kaif to fill the female lead who accidently kills her husband in his film based on Keigo Higashino's fifth serial novel. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, the film is set to release next year, however, no official word yet from either Katrina Kaif's people or Sujoy Ghosh's on whether Kaif will be cast. She has, apparently, read the script and the novel and likes them. So, it's only a matter of time before that official statement comes through.
