Hip Hop mogul Suge Knight was shot six-times over the weekend, requiring surgery. Knight was in attendance at a MTV Video Music Awards pre-party, in West Hollywood. The party was hosted by rapper Chris Brown, who is believed to be the intended victim of the shooting. Chris Brown has since spoken out about the incident. Suge Knight’s family have also released a statement about the former Death Row Records CEO’s health condition.
49-Year-Old former Death Row Records CEO Suge Knight was shot a reported six times over the weekend while at a VMA pre-party. He was rushed to surgery and currently in recovery.
Members of Suge Knight’s family have reportedly released a statement to Revolt, saying:
“The family of Suge Knight ask that you keep Suge in your prayers and to stray away from the negativity portrayed by the media. Suge is currently resting and has lost a lot of blood, he’s human. He’s done a lot of things for the community and the culture as a whole so we ask that you respect that.”
At the time of this report, the gunman is still unknown.
It has been speculated that Chris Brown was one of the intended targets of the shotter.
Chris Brown has now spoken up following the shooting, writing on his Twitter:
“It's disappointing that we as a society can't have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the bulls**t!!!”
Some have taken Brown’s comments to be a taught at the shooter.
