Hey! Say! JUMP's Ryosuke Cast as Lead in 'Shiota Nagisa' Adaptation of Manga 'Ansatsu Kyoshitsu' Assassination Classroom

J-pop sensation Hey! Say! JUMP's Ryosuke Yamada has been cast as the leading role in forthcoming Shiota Nagisa, the live action film adaptation of the manga Ansatsu Kyoshitsu (Assassination Classroom). Shiina Kippei and Masaki Suda are set to star alongside Yamada.

Yusei Matsui wrote he script of an ordinary high school tale. The premise of the story focuses on the worst class in a junior high school Class 3E. They apparently have a new teacher appearing, why not, in the form of an octopus. As if that’s not enough, the octo-teacher also has special powers in which he can destroy the world in the span of one year.

Heros they be, Shiota Nagisa’s class was asked by the government to kill their teacher in any way possible.

Kippei is set to star as class assistant and Suda will play one of the students in Class 3E. The movie is set to premiere in March of 2015.

But this isn’t his first film rodeo. Yamada currently stars as the protagonist Hajime Kindaichi in Kindaichi Case Files N (neo), the live-action TV drama adaptation of the long-running popular mystery manga series.
