Emma Stone's Broadway Debut in 'Cabaret' to Replace Michelle Williams with Alan Cumming as Emcee

The Amazing Spider-Man 2’s Emma Stone is set to debut on Broadway in a Cabaret revival. Stone will be taking on the role of Sally Bowles post-Michelle Williams, as she leaves the production in November, and Alan Cumming will emcee.

“I saw it in New York for the first time with Alan as the emcee when I was 9 years old, which is the most inappropriate show to take a 9-year-old to,” joked Stone on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. “Do not bring a child!”

The Roundabout Theatre Co.’s revival will feature Stone as a sensual showgirl working at the Kit Kat Klub in Berlin circa the 1930s. Tony Award-winning Cummings will star alongside Stone as the emcee.

Last year, staff and members of the audience witnessed Shia LaBeouf act out at the June 26 performance earlier this year. Following that, LaBeouf pled guilty to disorderly conduct at a Manhattan criminal court for smoking and grabbing the back end of actors at the June 26 performance of Cabaret.

As it goes, LaBeouf was arrested outside the theatre, where he told cops, "Do you know who I am?" and "F--k you. I’ll f--k you up!"

He then began to spit at the police, to which they put a face mask on him. LaBeouf then, reportedly, called an officer a "f----r," adding, "I have millions and millions of dollars and attorneys. I’m going to ruin your career."

Cabaret will debut Nov. 11 at Studio 54 for the 2014-15 season, ending in January.
