Tom Cruise's Son Connor Leaves Scientology, Leah Remini Back on 'DWTS', John Travolta Co-Star Dies? [RUMORS]

It has been a big week for Scientology. According to a major report, Tom Cruise's son has left the religion. Meanwhile, erstwhile member Leah Remini is back (if only temporarily) on Dancing With the Stars. Unfortunately, longtime member John Travolta is suffering from the loss of one of his co-stars.

Radar Online, a popular U.S.-based gossip site is reporting that Tom Cruise's son, Connor, has left the celebrity-filled religion. One source the website that Tom couldn't be happier with his son's religious choices:

"[Tom Cruise] is not disowning [Connor]...His parents just want him to be happy and do not care about his religious practices, so long as he is always connected to some form of God and spirituality, which he is. Although they don't see eye-to-eye, Connor has a great relationship with his father and his mother, who he is in constant communication with...He is searching for his God and his purpose right now and his family is always extremely supportive of that."

Another former Scientologist, Leah Remini, also finds herself in the news. The popular actress, who jumped back into the spotlight after parting ways with her longtime religion, is back on the small screen.

After a very popular run on Dancing With the Stars, the actress finds herself on the dance stage once more. But, this time she won't be dancing.

Instead, Leah Remini will be filling in for host Erin Andrews, as Reality TV Magazine tells readers:

"Leah may not have been the show's most talented dancer, but she certainly entertained as Tom Bergeron's partner in crime. Already, viewers are hoping that the funny gal will take over as Erin's permanent replacement."

Finally, John Travolta is once again dealing with a tragedy.

His co-star from Welcome Back, Kotter, Marcia Strassman, tragically passed away this week.

Unfortunately, Marcia isn't the only cast member from the popular series to die in recent years. USA Today tells readers that WBK alum are dropping like flies:

"She's the third Welcome Back, Kotter castmate to die in recent years. In 2012, Ron Palillo, who played Horshack, and Robert Hegyes, who played Epstein, both passed away."

What do you think about the latest rumors? Did Connor really leave the COS? Are you happy to see Leah Remini back on TV? Did you mourn the passing of Marcia Strassman?
